What Is Mirror Mode?

Mirror Mode is a feature in MC Skin Editor that automatically duplicates your brush strokes to the opposite arm or leg in real-time. When you paint a pixel on the right arm, it simultaneously paints the mirror pixel on the left arm — and vice versa.

Why Mirror Mode Matters

Without Mirror Mode, painting symmetrical skins requires painting each arm twice, manually calculating which pixels correspond to each other. This is tedious and error-prone. Mirror Mode eliminates this entirely.

How to Enable Mirror Mode

Open MC Skin Editor
Click the "⟺ Mirror ON" button in the toolbar, or press M on your keyboard
The button turns amber/yellow to show mirror mode is active
Paint on any arm or leg — the opposite side updates automatically

What Mirror Mode Covers

Arms — right arm and left arm (horizontally flipped)
Legs — right leg and left leg (horizontally flipped)
The head and body are not mirrored (they're naturally symmetric in the model)

Mirror Mode with the Fill Tool

Mirror Mode works with all tools — brush, eraser, and fill. If you use fill on the right arm, the equivalent region on the left arm also gets filled with the same color.

Turning Off Mirror Mode

Click the mirror button again or press M to disable. You can then paint each side independently for asymmetric designs like scars, accessories on one side only, or unique sleeve designs.
